Ellie Jane Goulding is a British woman born on December 30, 1986. Tracey Goulding Summers employed as a supermarket clerk, and Arthur Goulding, the father of Ellie Jane's Goulding was an undertaker. Goulding was born in 2000. Her sisters are, Isabel and Jordan. Her brother is Alex. Alex his brother is a bassist as well as a part of an Hereford group. She was encouraged by her mother to learn music at the age of a small girl. In the ninth grade when she began learning the clarinet. At the age of 14 She began writing lyrics, though she wasn't dedicated to writing songs until her college years. Goulding's interest in electronica music began when she was pursuing her education. Through MySpace she made contact with the record producer Frankmusik and, with the help of Frankmusik she developed her own style of folktronica music. The singer was discovered at the time by Scout Jamie Lillywhite, who initially worked as her manager, before transitioning to the position of A.&R. during a university talent show.
